Histology Technicians (HT)
Histology Technologists (HTL)  

Histologists are licensed medical professionals who are required to complete a specialized course of study. In the Cleveland area, Lakeland Community College offers a Histotechnology Program to prepare students for the national certification examination for HT. This exam is given by American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
