The Property Department obtains property from the Receiving Department. Property of the decedent is then verified, inventoried, documented, and stored.
Property includes but is not limited to the following items:
- Money received is logged and maintained separately from property.
- In the event the money is not picked up it will be sent to the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office for publication as Unclaimed Funds. Should this occur, contact the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office at (216) 443-7010.

- Credit Cards
Property excludes but is not limited to the following items:
- Clothing and shoes
- Prescription medications
- Hearing aids
- Medical devices
- Drug paraphernalia
- Illicit drugs
